Creative Entrepreneurship is a new category on this blog. It is meant for posts that cover doing business as creatives. This planet needs many more stable firms, which act in the name of sustainable development.
Creative work is often deeply personal, which comes with its own challenges in terms of separating oneself from the firm that one owns. There are many new things to learn in business and unfortunately there is a lot of fluff out there, non-substantial and sometimes incorrect information on business basics.
As humans we tend to listen to charismatic people, who sound as if they know what they are talking about. They don’t necessarily have a background in business studies, but perpetuate what other business owners are saying online. It is hit or miss, and not good enough for you.
I have studied business on my own as well as at a local open university, in addition to having owned a sole proprietorship since 2011 and a limited-liability company since 2018.
Doing better business, and doing sustainable business in particular, is better for all of us. Posts in this blog category will help you build a stronger business that is no hobby, but a profitable firm to ensure financial stability as a creative entrepreneur.
You will benefit whether what you build is your full-time job or an added income stream. Topic requests are welcome through my Contact page!
