Introducing Conversations

Conversations is a new category on this blog. It is meant for posts that present random thoughts related to handicrafts, opinions, tips and more.

Sometimes I want to blog without showing what I’m working on, sharing new products, or teaching a pattern or technique. Writing on a topic without deeper purpose can be helpful in sorting thoughts and as the name implies, Conversations invites you to join me in the process.

I’m one of those who used to love blogging in its early days, have kept a blog of some kind ever since, and think the direction that fast-paced social-media platforms such as Instagram aren’t necessarily great at all times. It seems to encourage a certain level of glossy facadery for a lack of better words to describe my slightly repulsed feelings around the topic. And frankly I miss how so many of us crafters used to frequently visit each other’s blogs, participate actively, and generally take it a bit slower.

Unfortunately I know I’m not the only one to have these feelings either, but the aim is to write one blog post at a time to counteract the downsides of fast social media. So Conversations it is!
