A new year and new colours! This crisp and cold ice bubble will surely provide some inspiration for a winter-themed project, so let’s take a look at the colours I have chosen from the photo.
The Colour Palette
What colour does winter have? White? Grey? Light blue? I don’t know if it is true that ice, snow or white have dozens of variant names in Greenlandic Inuit languages, but looking at winter in Helsinki and the different ways in which it expresses itself, I would not be surprised. In any case, here we have a bubble of ice that I suspected started as one of soap, but let’s leave this mystery unsolved as well!
Here are the colour swatches with hex codes added:
I have to admit I was unsure about which hex codes would actually pop up, so it was a bit of a surprise to find light red and violet alongside blue.
Does this colour palette inspire you right now?
